We are not required to appoint a data protection officer (Art. 37 GDPR, § 38 BDSG).
2. The key points
- This website sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device.
- We use no analytics or advertising services, only an anonymous visitor statistic from our host (section 3). Fonts and images are hosted on our own server.
- Our server fetches the weather and free dates itself. Your browser has no contact with third parties for this.
- Only when you open the booking calendar does your browser load content from Smoobu (section 5).
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM, Neue Medien Münnich, owner René Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany, on servers in Germany. We have a data processing agreement with ALL-INKL (Art. 28 GDPR).
Each time a page is accessed, the server stores technical data such as date and time, the page accessed, browser identifier and referrer. Your IP address is fully anonymised, so the log files contain nothing that can be linked to you, and they are deleted after 7 days. From these anonymous log files ALL-INKL produces a simple visitor statistic for us (number of visits, pages, countries of origin). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and well-functioning website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. Weather and free dates
For the live display on the home page (weather, sunset, next possible arrival), our own server queries Open-Meteo (weather data) and our booking system Smoobu (occupancy) every 15 to 20 minutes. No data about you is transmitted.
Google rating
Our server retrieves the overall rating and the number of reviews shown on the home page via Google's Places API (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Your browser has no contact with Google, and we store none of it. Only when you click "Read the reviews on Google" do you open a Google page; Google's privacy notice applies there.
5. Booking calendar (Smoobu)
For prices, availability and booking we use the booking system of Smoobu GmbH, Pappelallee 78/79, 10437 Berlin, Germany. The calendar is only loaded when you click "Open the booking calendar". From then on your browser loads content from Smoobu; Smoobu receives your IP address and technical information about your browser and may set its own cookies.
If you book, Smoobu processes the details from the booking form on our behalf (name, address, email, phone, travel dates, number of guests, message). The legal basis is the performance of the rental contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We have a data processing agreement with Smoobu (Art. 28 GDPR).
6. Payment
Depending on the payment method chosen, your payment data is processed directly by the payment provider, not by us:
- Credit card, Apple Pay, iDEAL and Bancontact: Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Dublin 2, Ireland
- PayPal: PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22–24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg
- Klarna: Klarna Bank AB (publ), Sveavägen 46, 111 34 Stockholm, Sweden. Klarna checks your details under its own responsibility; Klarna's privacy notice also applies.
The legal basis is the performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
7. Registration form
Guests who are not German nationals must complete a registration form (Meldeschein) on arrival (§§ 29, 30 Federal Registration Act). We keep it for one year and then destroy it. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR. Since 1 January 2025, German guests no longer need to complete the form.
8. Contact by phone or email
If you call or write to us, we only use your details to answer your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). Enquiries without a booking are deleted once they have been dealt with. For bookings, the statutory retention periods apply (8 years for invoices and accounting records under § 147 of the German Fiscal Code).
9. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). You may withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future. Simply send us an email.
You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW), Kavalleriestr. 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany.
